Over the past few years we have been working on the manufacturing technologies to produce a range of high grade bamboo charcoal and associated specialized products. Now in full production on EcoPlanet Bamboo's Kowie Bamboo Farm in South Africa's Eastern Cape we are thrilled that our products are contributing towards achieving sustainability goals for the growing sector of luxury but environmentally friendly tourism.
In August 2017 we started supply of bamboo charcoal air purification products to the Mantis Collection, the world's only luxury hotel group to have hotels on all continents.
These achievements and our partnership have been showcased by Tourism Tattler
and South African Engineering News Magazine.
Since the launch of our bamboo charcoal air purification products we have been working towards a similar product specialized for the filtration of water, at both the household and industrial use, and are looking forward to rolling this product out across the group's hotels, some of them located in extremely isolated parts of the globe, yet all striving towards low footprints and environmental sustainability.
The United Nations General Assembly declared 2017 as the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development and highlighted the potential of tourism to advance a number of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). EcoPlanet Core Carbon, our parent company EcoPlanet Bamboo Group and our well traveled, international team are thrilled to contribute towards the achievement of these targets.
